Since she can remember, Kelly has loved performing. At the ripe old age of 14, Kelly's love of the stage was fostered in Middle School, grew in High School and to this day has been part of who she is. Kelly has been seen many times on stage in various theaters throughout South Jersey. Kelly has always loved the more quirky characters in peices,and has tried to put her own spin on them. Some favorite roles over the years include Little Red in Into the Woods, Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress, The Stabbed Woman in God, Miss Preen in The Man Who Came to Dinner and Mrs. Trotsky in The Death of Trotsky to name a few.
She has been twice nominated for a NJACT Perry Award and has been the recipient of a Dolly from Triple Threat and a Teenie from HP&P. Being part of Actor's Core has brought her more joy than she can say. To be challenged with each peice and get to work with such talented actors,(and great friends), makes what they do even more fullfilling.
For now, Kelly has taken a little hiatus from the stage to be the proud Momma to 8 year old Gretchen and wife of 10 years to Jeff. She is currently working as full-time,overnight shift LPN at a local assisted-living facility, and keeping her comedic skills fresh by using humor to make her residents nights a little brighter. For the time being,and with undying respect, support and yes,a little bit of envy, Kelly will be watching from the wings as Actor's Core continues it's good work, hoping to return soon.........with a vengence.
