Actors Core Theatre Co.

Our mission is to create theater with good acting at its core. To do that, we aim to keep growing as actors, from the core on out.

We believe that actors are central to any theater event. That might seem pretty basic, but it can often get lost in that all the trappings of scenery in costumes and so on. If actors are the core of theater, then they need to work at developing their own vision and creativity. They need to learn how to dig out the truth at the core of their being and share it onstage. That might that might sound really artsy and serious, but the fact is, we specialize in comedy. Audiences love to laugh, and we find we have a touch for that.

We do not have our own theater space, a fact which challenges us but also liberates us. We have no mortgage to pay, no seats to fill, no subscribers to please, no schedule to meet. Each theater event can find its own way, its own home, its own audience. We choose to do a show because we find delight in it. And we hope to find audiences who will share that delight. We have been relying on the kindness of various theaters in the area, as they have opened their spaces to us in - Cherry Hill, Oaklyn, Williamstown, Philadelphia, and Woodbury. We are grateful.

Our commitment to good acting has led us to offer classes and workshops from time to time-something we call "Actors Lab"--opportunities for actors in the area to hone their craft. We share the expertise we've gathered over the years, and we let performers play.
